Larry says,
ADHDers are entrepreneurs at heart. They ooze resourcefulness and creativity. Ben not only sees most everything with his physical eyes, he also sees possibilities in his mind’s eye that most people never consider. I love nearly all of his ideas but sometimes he experiences a brain overload. His mind becomes a tangled web of ideas. That’s where I come into the picture. 🙂

So this week, I’m talking about creativity again (pet subject!)! Creativity is one of many positive qualities of an ADHDer and I think it’s a good idea to spend time developing it. What we lack in organization, we’ll more than make up for with creative, out-of-box thinking! Today’s creative exercise was inspired by the Hutson School here in Indy – their students got me hooked on a piece of software called istopmotion. Check it out!

I don’t know if it’s the special mix of ADHD traits like impulsivity, creativity & the inability to accurately judge time & resources, but ADHDers like going for the gusto. We’re passionate about our interests & if we’re not careful, our passion can consume us & isolate us from those around us. But in general, being passionate is a great thing & if properly channeled can lead to amazing things.
Being passionate about what you do often leads to success without that being your main priority. “Winners forget they’re in a race, they just love to run.” Which movie?
